We are looking for an estate manager who will be responsible for managing the private property within an Estate that also produces agricultural products in the Tuscan region, located in the beautiful scenery of San Casciano in Val di Pesa and 30 min drive from Florence.
The agricultural activities and business are handled under a separate entity, team, and responsible person.
The private property within the Estate consists of several very high-end villas, gardens, a lake, swimming pools, a tennis court etc….
The Estate Manager will be responsible for the overall day-to-day activities, coordination and management of the private property and it’s staff with the objective to always have the entire property look at its very best, all systems in perfect working order and ready for the owners and their guests at all times.

The Property
Tenuta Maryamado is located in the south-western area of the Pesa river’s valley and is within the wine production area of Chianti Colli Fiorentini. This area is known for extensive vineyards and olive groves, a scattering of farms and farmhouses, and rural villages.
From the noble Florentines of the 1500s to the current owners: Tenuta Maryamado encompasses years of fascinating history filled with a veritable passion for the land of Tuscany.
We are applying the best restoration techniques and engaging the collaboration of architects and landscape designers, engineers, craftsmen, agronomists, an oenologist, an olive oil consultant and an expert consultant in biodiversity.
Passion and determination are key to this project, emerging organically from the admiration and respect for the landscape’s beauty and this region’s cultural heritage.
The restoration of the historic buildings include work on the villa, a prestigious residence at the heart of the estate, and surrounding structures.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage property and staff on a daily basis representing the owner in this process
- Oversee all maintenance and repairs to the estate grounds and buildings, manage house staff, gardeners and groundskeepers, and coordinate events and functions.
- Responsible for managing estates' budgets
- Ensuring that house is maintained and all practical equipment is running smoothly
- Managing utilities, creating estate manuals and ensuring principal receives competitive quotes on any repairs
- Managing principal’s multiple properties, travelling to each one to maintain oversight and contact with sites and teams
- Acting as first point of contact for staff and contractors
- Acting as first point of contact in case of emergency (i.e alarm going off, pool leaking)
- Manage the process of property renovation and minimize number of emergency situations
- Managing all administrative tasks like submitting insurance claims
- Undertake prevention checks on infrastructure
- Execute inventory of properties
- Execute the projects with designs, budgets, and schedules.
- Write and maintain the household checklists
- Welcome and accommodate guests
- Organize small events at the place and coordinate vendors
- Perform regular site visits, arrange and monitor all on-going maintenance/construction projects performed by external contractors
- Inspect and arrange maintenance to meet standards
- Collaborate and negotiate with external parties such as suppliers, event/conference planners etc
- Support property owners in their life at the estate
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior important experience in Italy
- Minimum 5 years in Property management
- Experience in events-management and hotel business
- Fluency in Italian and English
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities
- Excellent negotiating skills and cost analysis for purchasing or work offers
- Being ready for the private requests of the owner 24/7
- Great decision making and problems solving skills
- Creativity and passion to work
